Rocks, Fences aand Deer

Have I spoken before on my confusion with randomly placed fencing? A random placed fence stretches a small area that does not actually contain or restrain anything. I suppose the correct term would be decorative fencing. For example, I have decoration fencing in front of my hostas which the deer ignore, step over and munch on my shade garden. And one other thing, while I am on a deer rant... there were deer droppings all over my driveway this morning. It looked like a goat herd had move through the yard while we were sleeping. Good thing I have gnomes... and dogs. Other wise I suppose the deer would start eating the dang house.

Ahem, anyway... Lauren submits:

randomly paced stone wall ... which by the way, would take a whole lot of effort
Score (Lauren supplied the list, my comments are in red)
  • Left to Right: Check out that awesome ROCK with a smile on his face! (love him): 1 point
  • Does that rock formation not look arched somewhat like a dragon's back as well? Could it be an artfully arrange Pile-O-Rock-Creature??? (nah, is a RPF which sort of looks like a dragon back)
  • Alarmed looking deer, oh-so-slowly sinking in pond of stones (the deer does look very worried, but I think smiley rock makes him nervous, too): 1 point
  • where little boy (caught one!) is fishing off a stump, to which is attached a second bag with a fish jumping up into it!: 2 points
  • The wheelbarrow is obviously not part of the display, however in the next picture....

  • An old rusty plow thingy: 1 point
  • A rusty wagon wheel: 1 point
  • AND a fabulous glowing glass swirly planet on a stick! ( it is fabulous, I wonder if it glows in the dark): 1 point
Subtotal: 7 points

Creativity Bonus

For good stump usage and for the very rare find of a fishing boy that actually still has the pole and the fish and because the deer at least looks a little ashamed of itself: 2 points

Total: 9 points

  2. Tufa Girl, That tree looks like it has acne. If that is knotty pine... not so attractive in its native state.
