To The Victor Goes the Spoils

No introductary words are needed, just sit back and enjoy:

Jester from Grow Damnit comments and submits:

"YAY! I finally did it!!!

Just so happens I was deer hunting with my husband & son this afternoon. After a fruitless attempt at a location we hunted for years, on the way out it suddenly dawned on me that I forgot about all the old farm equipment that was left there &; ran right over to see if there was anything cool for my yard....wagon wheel haven is what I found! I'll be damned there was a pair of big ones, which my husband was quick to tell me I'll never get them  unattached....as if just saying that would make it so...hahahhaha..he KNOWS I'll stop at nothing when I make up my mind to get a job done, specially when its FREE!!! I was at least able to get one smaller one unleashed from its bonds  & the frozen ground, then  had my very unhappy son carry it out for me. I considered it a successful hunt after all!"

Jester with her hard fought victory spoils. Don't tell a woman with a weapon that she can't have her wheel.

"Then, we happened to be driving down this road & there were a gazillion deer in a field,
yeah, I think they were making snarky remarks about us, but I took pictures of them anyway.
THEN! I happened to look out the other side of the truck when I saw a goose dressed like Santa, with 2 smaller ones!!!!

Maybe it was because I wasn't alone...bravery in numbers .....that I was quick to snap a picture. But either way, I FINALLY did it. And I better get with it before people start thinking I'm a stalker, since I keep chickening out with the camera every time I get by their houses...."

Yes, that's right Jimmy, Santa Goose wears a kilt to keep his legs free for chimney climbing.
No, Timmy it is NOT MOMMY'S Skirt but Santa does like to look pretty.

Score
  • Crossed dressing Santa goose: 1 point + 1 point for dressed
  • 2 very disillusioned young geese: 2 points + 2 points for dis-proportioned grouping
  • Wheel ripped from the very earth leaving the jagged end trapped in the frozen ground (I may have exaggerated a bit, but that is how I see it): 1 point
Subtotal: 8 points

Creativity Bonus

I have a weakness for dressed geese even if they are gargantuan and look like a cast member from the Dark Crystal. More importantly, I love that Jester calmed her prize: 2 points

Total: 10 points

Anyone else see the resemblance:
oh, maybe it is just me

He imediately started yelling thinking that of course I would only find some 3 foot Gnome as an acceptable present.... hehehehehe....can't wait to see what he actaully comes home with AND the story that he will make up to go with WHY I should want what he decided I should have...

  9. Jester, If you get a gnome for your birthday keep a sharp eye on it. I have two but one keep disappearing. I saw it again the other day. I don't know what they are plotting. (or hubby is trying to drive me insane).

We of course always demand pictures.

  14. Lola Nova, Thanks for the link. Of course I have seen it but everyone else should check it out: Gnomeo and Juliet.

I'm a big Dark Crystal Fan, I have found that my friends are not nearly as delighted with puppets.

  15. I know where you can find a dressed goose--and you can have it!!! Poor goose is stuffed behind my shed, naked as a jay bird, suffering out the harsh winter with the garbage cans. I can't bear to throw her out, but I don't really want her either.
