Cheri, you had some great contributors this quarter. If the snow ever leaves, I will be out on the hunt too.
ReplyDeletethanks gwgt, so far been an outstanding year of reporting! I am dying of curiosity to see what upstate New Yard has to offer.
ReplyDeleteIt's tough to find original yard art in inner city Chicago which doesn't consist of the usual beer bottle/newspaper/homeless guy motif.
ReplyDeleteA Beer, perhaps if you strung them all together and made a windchime?
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad I missed the opportunity to take part in the previous post. Although simply looking at it has enriched my life experience.
ReplyDeleteI have found several wonderful examples around my neighbourhood, but so far, I haven't had time to sneak by to take photos of them. I'm planning to do that soon.
Oh, I really have to update my camera. We still have people in my neighborhood with Santas on their rooves...
ReplyDeleteOlga, It was a life changing experience and now we all have Wisconsin on our bucket list. Whenever you feel like getting you sneak on, we will be waiting. You take wonderful pictures.
ReplyDeletePearl, Holiday Bonuses is a good way to jump forward in the game. If you have some lazy-*ss neighbors, the time is ripe.
Hahaha LH, GREAT advice for Pearl. This is one game that you can truly be very good at it just by having lazy neighbors. I'm trying to encourage this behavior (or lack of..lol), but I really don't have any neighbors. And walking up to strange people's doors to encourage them to leave Santa up seems a bit weird.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about my third place-ment. I vow to continue my reporting this quarter, so that I can maybe move up in the ranks. I have my eye on a couple of yards already.
ReplyDeleteredgirl, I see lazy *ss people all the time. There is a house near my barn that has purple sparkly christmas deer that light up at night! I just don't submit my own pics anymore being a coach and all.
ReplyDeleteMorningGlory, congratulations of your third place position - You earned it! Quite an accomplishment for a new reporter.
Looking forward to the new quarter ... will probably have to stand on the sidelines though.
ReplyDeleteb-a-g, no problem you are a very good stand on the sideliner. We need those too. You can sit in the cheering bench with Mom L.
ReplyDeleteI saw that, LH! Here from the cheering bench - and I congratulate the winter champions!
ReplyDeleteI think Diane's emaciated little jack o'lanterns have terrified the homeowners, who are afraid to pick them up because the little monsters look like they would bite. And tear flesh.
Mom L, the cheering bench is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteI think you are right. Those pumpkins look more than a little hungry.
That cartoon is fantastic. Me, each and every day at work.
ReplyDeleteWow. Tree man is KILLER. I think I have his girlfriend at the end of the block. She lives by Loghenge.
ReplyDeletecongrats to all the 1st quarter winners!
ReplyDeletei'm not gonna lie, it feels good to be on top again.
Congrats, indeed, to all winners this quarter.
ReplyDeleteMarguerite, that is also me each and every day.
ReplyDeleteLin, yeah the Tree man, you must have missed him. We need a picture of his girl friend.
diane, Yeah you look good up there.
Tufa Girl, you are always so full of team spirit. Everyone should walk her, she has something up her sleeve.
I'm SO playing this quarter!! I do so solemnly swear not to simply walk past those yards thinking "I should send that in to the yard art game.." NO SIR. I will actually DO IT.
ReplyDeleteCatzilla, We will look forward to it. You know we have another Texas player. Perhaps we can start a mini-competition.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all of the winners!!

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your post. It’s a lot like college – we should absorb everything we can but ultimately you need to take what you’ve learned and apply it.
ReplyDelete1996 Chevrolet Bel Air AC Compressor
Well said, Sam. Well said.
ReplyDeleteyeah cuz everyone likes a good Bel Air AC Compressor
ReplyDeletesuch a compressor could possibly be used to keep someone's lungs working in event of over-exposure to bad lawn art. See? *slightly* relevant..
